Draft Master Plan 2047 questioned by planners

Satellite towns studied at Bassi, Bagru, Chomu and Kotputli

The Urban Development Department is doing feasibility studies for towns 20–40 km from Jaipur. Township Policy 2025 reserves at least 7% of a residential township for green areas and 8% for utilities.

What it means: Long-term interest along Agra Road, Ajmer Road and Sikar Road. These are still at study stage.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How do JDA plot lotteries work?

JDA announces a scheme with plot sizes and a reserve rate per sq m, takes online applications for about a month, then allots plots by lottery. For example, the Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati Vihar schemes took applications from 13 May to 12 June 2025 and held the lottery on 2 July 2025.

What were the reserve rates in recent JDA schemes?

Recent reserve rates ranged from ₹11,000 per sq m at Saraswati Vihar (Daulatpura) to ₹18,000 per sq m at Patel Nagar (Khori Ropara). One sq m is about 1.2 sq yd.

Where can I check official JDA notices?

On the JDA website, jda.urban.rajasthan.gov.in, and at JDA zone offices. Always confirm a scheme or allotment there before paying anyone.
